NEW YORK -- An estimated one in three women in the United States suffer from the condition known as light bladder leakage (LBL).
Medical experts say the problem can occur during different stages of a woman's life, including when she is pregnant. It can also be a result of a person's lifestyle, they note.
"It's very common," Dr. Robert Starr, a urogynecologist at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich., says about LBL. "There are things that can be done about it, and it demands open communication."
To help foster that communication, some suppliers of products designed to help women manage the condition have con ducted events to help bring the issue out into the open.
